The Olmsted firm designed much more than just parks, as this Zoom slide show illustrates. Its Montclair projects include Essex County parks but also church grounds, a subdivision, private estates, and even a parking lot. April marks the 200th birthday of Frederick Law Olmsted, making it an ideal time to explore how his aesthetic was expressed in Montclair. Presented by Lisanne Renner, historian for Friends of Anderson Park, as part of the Montclair History Center’s “History at Home” virtual series on Zoom. 7 p.m. Free.
