MOVED TO SUNDAY, JUNE 8 – Olmsted Oak Bench Dedication Ceremony

The Olmsted Oak Bench Dedication has been moved to SUNDAY, JUNE 8,  at 2 p.m. due to Saturday’s midday weather forecast.

Anderson Park’s beloved Olmsted Oak, estimated to be 175 years old, fell in a fierce storm last August. Now this beloved white oak is back in the park, in the form of a special bench created by Montclair artist Charlie Spademan and commissioned by park neighbors Bob and Rhonda Silver. Join Friends of Anderson Park in welcoming this artwork to the park with cake and music. Gather just south of the northeast entrance, 274 Bellevue Avenue, east of North Mountain Avenue, Montclair.  On Sunday, check the Friends of Anderson Park Facebook page for weather updates or call (973) 477-7207.
